The Roots are PHENOMENAL!
As usual, The Roots were amazing. I also enjoyed H.E.R.; she has a nice vibe. Common, Raphael Saadiq, Mos Def, and Bilal (where has he been?!) were all such great artists. My friends and I headed out so we wouldn't be stuck in crowds while exiting. I'm so sad I missed Jill Scott. I have complaints associated with food and beverages, I would give 5 stars. The servers didn't seem experienced and the lines were horrendous. The drinks were extremely watered down, each line was 30+ minutes long. At one point I was convinced they were pouring water instead of Vodka. Shame! I heard about the stampede but it occurred while we were watching Raphael Saadiq perform. It sounds as if security quickly got things under control. I can only say it was a good thing no one was severely injured, as we were totally unaware that anything happened.
